FIJI II

NICE DAY FOR A WHITE-HOT WEDDING

After A few days of lazing around the resort whilst drinking offensive amounts of Fiji Bitter, it was no secret that there was an exciting air looming around us. Saturday, 11th June was the cause for such excitement as it was Emma and Chris’s big day and what a gorgeous affair it was. Clear blue skies, glistening azure waters and swaying palm trees set the scene for an intimate and elegantly relaxed wedding, with fellow guests of the resort trying to sneak a peek of the much talked about cleopatra-esque bride. As the ivory vision emerged down the aisle with one very proud father (affectionately known as George Negus), it was clear that Chriso was about to wed the most graceful bride imaginable. The short and sweet ceremony was light and amusing, with the vague celebrant marrying ‘Richard and Kate’ rather than ‘Chris and Emma’. After the ceremony, the entire guest list ended back at our bure to devour champers and beers whilst the bridal party struck a pose. Eventually everyone made their way up to the reception where the celebrations kicked into top gear with an incredibly delicious dinner with the drinks flowing like the Amazon. A night full of laughing and national anthems (there was a bit of a Kiwi Vs Aussie theme) the dancing continued into the wee hours of the A.M. The next morning, the slow rise and even slower “Happy One Year Anniversary, babe” could be blamed on such an exhaustingly fun night prior to. Later that night, we were treated by Hetho and Cath to a delicious seafood buffet as a slightly belated wedding gift and serenaded by Fijian choir for our 1 year anniversary. Enough to make even the toughest of cowboys emotional!

WIN:
There wasn’t anywhere or anything in the world we’d rather be or doing. The wedding was gorgeous, the company unbeatable and the memories unforgettable.

FAIL:
How could there possibly there be any kind of fail on such a gorgeous occasion!
